CNA/Ward Clerk

Job Description:

Job Summary:

Tjhe CNA/Ward Clerk assists with basic patient care activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
  • Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
  • Records medical, nursing and administrative information in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures.
  • Provides administrative support to unit, and delivers mail and messages to patients and residents.
  • Assists with admissions, transfers, discharges, and various record keeping duties.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Certified Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • One or more of the following:
      • BLS Provider specializing in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • HS or Equivalent
    • High school diploma or equivalent;Graduate of an accredited nursing assistant program

Work Experience:

  • No experience required.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
