Registered Nurse RN - Skilled Nursing Facility 001 - PRN Rotating - St Mary's of Michigan-Standish - Standish, MI

What You Will Do

As an Associate with St. Mary's of Michigan-MI, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care to patients in the long term care setting in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

You will:

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Periodically review the resident's written discharge plan. Participate in the updating of the resident's written discharge plan as required.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to assure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Review nurses' notes to ensure they are informative and descriptive of the care being provided and that they reflect the resident's response to the care. Make rounds with physicians as needed.
  • Assure stock level of medications, medical supplies, and equipment are maintained on premises at all times to adequately meet the needs of the residents.
  • Participate in the development of a written plan of care (preliminary and comprehensive) for each resident that identifies the problems/needs of the resident, indicates the care to be given, goals to be accomplished, and which professional service is responsible for each element of care.
  • Review complaints and grievances made by the resident and make a written/oral report to the Director indicating what action (s) were taken to resolve the complaint or grievance.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need


  • Required Credential(s):
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • One or more of the following:
      • BLS Provider specializing in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.


  • Diploma
    • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Work Experience:

  • No experience required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
